Eugènia Anglès lives, illustrates, and loves to wander in Barcelona, where she was born in 1975. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Humanities, her love for painting led her to study Illustration and Visual Arts and she rapidly oriented her career to everything creative. Although she enjoyed the years she spent working as a designer and art director, she admits having finally found joy once she gave it all up to fulfill her dream as an illustrator. The meanders in her path have enriched the skills of her craft: from the Art and History studies at university to her editing design campaigns while being an art director, every step has contributed to her becoming an illustrator. Her love for books allows her to genuinely enjoy the documenting process before any commission, and nothing makes her happier than to keep on learning about new worlds and exploring characters and atmospheres. For her personal projects, she loves to concentrate on the tiny details that make everyday life worth living. The Mediterranean, Barcelona and its inhabitants (animal, human or fauna) feed her inspiration. If she wasn't illustrating, she would undoubtedly be a cook, a gardener or an ornithologist, but always with a pencil in hand.
